Vincent Gray Development

Our Mission

Vincent Gray Academy is a 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Nonprofit Organization (click here to see our IRS Statement) that runs youth empowerment and education programs serving at-risk young people ages 17 to 24 from East Saint Louis and surrounding areas. The Vincent Gray Development Department's mission is to raise money so that those who were unsuccessful in high school can attend our programs tuition-free.

Vincent Gray gave me that one on one time so that I wasn’t left out.
— Nia Spencer, Graduate of Vincent Gray Academy
Gray thrives because it is a school of alternatives, the main one being the love offered by the teachers and appreciated by the students. The kids know this is their final comeback try.
— Washington Post Columnist Colman McCarthy, "Desperation and Hope in East St. Louis," March 14, 1992
